As a reproductive mental health therapist, I am passionate about supporting those struggling with finding hope in the midst of uncertainty.
Many people living with fertility and family-building challenges experience significant anxiety, depression, anger, stress, grief, loneliness, sadness and/or hopelessness. In working with me, I welcome all of these emotions with compassion and curiosity, help clients explore and implement improved coping strategies, and encourage connection and community through my fertility support groups.
I was drawn to serving the fertility community following my own reproductive challenges that included IUI’s, IVF and multiple pregnancy losses. It was an incredibly painful time in my life that left me feeling isolated, pessimistic and hopeless- completely opposite of what felt like me! Although I’m not THAT old, there was no Tik Tok or Reddit to turn to for guidance or support. I was unable to find a mental health therapist that specialized in (in)fertility. And it felt like a miracle when I found one fertility support group within a 50 mile radius of my house- although I feared I didn’t have it “bad enough” to belong. Spoiler alert- I did! This group was a game changer for me- they got me, didn’t give unsolicited advice about my sex life, and didn’t suggest “just relax.” I promised myself then and there that one day I would make it my mission to bring accessible support to the fertility community.
One of the greatest gifts of my job is witnessing connections and growing families. But alas, one can’t have work without play. When I’m not at the office, you’ll find me hitting up a musical with my family, snuggling with my senior dog (Gertie), or reading, crocheting and drinking boba!
